Little Joe Mccarthy was born in Omaha Ne. in 1966. As the youngest sibling of eight, he was exposed to a wide variety of music, from classic rock, to country, to blues.
Bands and artists,such as, The Eagles,Neil Young,Bob Seger,Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, Hank Williams Jr. and B.B. King, were all strong influences in Joe's musical style.
In his early years as a musician, Joe played as a solo acoustic performer.
This eventually led to his years with the McCarthy Brock Band, which he formed with long time friend and musician, Mike Brock.MBB played the Omaha classic rock scene scene in the late 80's and early 90's.
By the mid 90's, Joe went on to explore country music with several local Omaha country bands.
In 1999, Joe teamed up with long-time friend and mentor, Ronnie Boy Brewer, to form a honky tonk country and blues band known as "Bad Habitz", eventually to become his current band "Little Joe and Big Trouble".
More recently, Joe has come full circle, playing as a solo performer around the Mid-west.
When he is not playing show's, Joe is putting the final tracks on his first full length original blues CD, titled "Find Another Fool" which will be released in 2014.
