O COMIC CON IS BACK AND BIGGER THAN EVER!

O Comic Con is back and bigger than ever! The Omaha metro's homegrown comic con, now in it's third year, is taking over the Mid-America Center for a three day weekend of comics, celebrities and gaming.

From Friday, July 7, to Sunday, July 9, the Mid America Center will be the place to be for pop culture enthusiasts, with something for everyone, including 30,000 square feet of vendors, comic book artists and writers in the arena, and a 25,000 square foot expo hall with exhibits, hourly wrestling matches and some hidden gems of the Omaha area.

The 3rd edition of O Comic Con aims to appeal to everyone, with a diverse group of media guests. Fans will be able to take part in Q & A panels with celebrities, as well as purchase autographs and photo opportunities.

Media guests include

- Ray Park ( Star Wars: The Phantom Menace )

- Alison Arngrim ( Little House On The Prairie 's Nellie Oleson)

- Sesame Street's own Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch

- Caroll Spinney, renowned voice actor Rob Paulsen ( Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain )

- Naomi Grossman and Mat Fraser from American Horror Story: Freakshow

- The voice of Courage the Cowardly Dog, Marty Grabstein

- James C. Leary from Buffy The Vampire Slayer

In addition to featured artists and comics writers, O Comic Con will also host a number of cosplay guests whose custom re-creations of their favorite superhero characters make for fantastic photo opportunities for attendees. Cosplayers will compete on stage for a cash prize on Saturday in a cosplay contest that pits the most talented crafters against one another.

This programming is open to all O Comic Con attendees and will surely be a fan favorite. Though sci-fi, fantasy, and comic book fans will be especially at home at O Comic Con, there will be a little something for everyone at this event. Expect a family-friendly environment with programming designed for all audiences. Kids 12 and under will be admitted free at the door with a paying adult.
