Sunday night revved up even more country melodies when Justin Moore graced the rostrum. Moore is a relative newcomer to the country scene, having started in 2007. This fellow from Poyen, Arkansas hasn’t done too shabby and was named the New Artist of the Year in 2014 at the Academy of Country Music Awards.
Moore gifted the full house with tunes from each one of his albums, and is really excited about his new album being released on August 14, 2016. He donned a thirty gallon hat (yes – I know it should say ten gallon, but I swear his hat was bigger than he was!) and wandered the stage comfortably, playing to all patrons in the bowl. He commented that it was their 5th night of playing in a row, so you know the guy has been mighty busy. Moore and his band are genuine country from Stetson to spurs and it is more than apparent that they are having a great time sharing their talents across this country.
Sunday night’s audience was a mixture of dates and darlings. Girls in their boots and cutoffs or little sun dresses, and guys in their plaid shirts and camouflage ball caps or cowboy hats. It was a shoulder to shoulder good old time and once again – the sing alongs with the country performers never cease to amaze me. Everyone in the house – including the shy ones – knows every word to every song, and they belt it out like nobody’s business.
