Barnett Newman's painting "Horizon Light" is the subject of the inaugural lecture in Sheldon's CollectionTalk series.

Author and curator Amy Newman will speak on the painting and its place among Barnett Newman's "zip" canvases. Ms. Newman is author of "Challenging Art: ARTFORUM 1962-1974;" co-editor of "Defining Modern Art: Selected Writings of Alfred H. Barr, Jr.;" and editor of numerous other books and catalogs. She is currently writing a biography of Barnett Newman and lives and works in New York City.
