New Orleans may be farther than you'd like to venture this summer, but you can have the experience without the travel on Saturday.
Turner Park will resemble a slice of Louisiana with Saturday's free Zydeco Festival.
What's zydeco? Think of funk, R&B and blues with the signature zydeco instruments - accordion and washboard - mixed in.
Along with music from Little Buck, Bobby Allen, Corey Ledet, Christina Balfa, DL Menard, Lazy Lester and Major Handy, you can enjoy Creole and Cajun food from Midtown Crossing vendors.
Wohlner's will offer alligator jerky, Cantina Laredo will have crawfish tacos, Black Oak Grill will have a crawfish boil, and Crave will feature shrimp and sausage gumbo, among other items.
The night will conclude with fireworks.
