Mark Patrick has lived in Omaha his entire life where he grew up inspired by hip hop music, particularly emcees with a strong focus on lyricism. The stories artists such as 2pac, Nas & Eminem would tell in their songs pushed him to start writing raps at a young age, transitioning from poetry. He started recording his writings in 2010 and began to share them with the world. Originally part of the duo Next Weapons, Mark would break into a solo career in early 2015 and thrive ever since. Joining up with Marcey Yates & The Raleigh Science Project and audio engineer/emcee Greco, he would release 3 music videos in a 6 month span and over 20 singles in the past 2 years, gaining a new following. Mark also founded the New Generation Music Festival, along with Marcey Yates. This was the inaugural year for the festival, which looks to be a thriving yearly event for the local scene. Currently nominated for Best Hip Hop Artist and Best New Artist for the Omaha Entertainment and Arts Awards, Mark is set to release his long awaited debut album, Pen and Pad LP. This album is fully produced by Omaha born producers Chad Beaty, Marcey Yates, Ahpasit and Menace. The album also features collaborations with artists Xoboi, TKO, Greco, Marcey Yates, Ahpasit, Puun, and Jamire Gray.
