The Nonprofit Association of the Midlands (NAM) and D.A Davidson have opened registration for the 11th annual Nonprofit Summit of the Midlands, which is Wednesday, November 1 at the Embassy Suites Conference Center in La Vista. The annual Summit celebrates more than a decade of nonprofits helping their communities. The theme for this year's Summit is "Breaking Barriers."
Blog author and nonprofit leader Vu Le, who is widely known for his great humor and keen ideas, is the keynote speaker for this year's Nonprofit Summit of the Midlands. Le is the Executive Director of Rainier Valley Corps, a nonprofit in Seattle that promotes social justice by cultivating leaders of color, strengthening organizations led by communities of color and fostering collaboration between diverse communities. Le will discuss tangible actions the nonprofit sector can take to advance an equitable society. As the writer behind Nonprofit AF, Le is known not only for his humor but also for his no-nonsense approach.
Anyone who is interested in the nonprofit sector is welcome to attend the Summit, which will feature breakout sessions and workshops on a variety of topics, including, fundraising, lobbying and moving strategic plans forward.
