O'leavers Underground Comedy is a new comedy series brought to you by Broken Magic Comedy. We book the best touring comics and showcase the best local talent in the casual and intimate basement of O'leaver's.
Originally from Chattanooga, TN, John-Michael Bond honed his craft as part of the nationally recognized Atlanta, GA comedy scene, running the 1AM Secret Show and working in rooms across the city. Creative Loafing magazine described his comedy as covering, "the arduous yet worthwhile pursuit of love, rationalizing vices with how they impact relationships, the wackiness of death, and why society should be nicer." He feels that's accurate. Now living in Los Angeles, CA he writes for The Hard Times, Paste, and Daily Dot when he isn't telling jokes. He's opened for Kyle Kinane, Tig Notaro, Emo Philips, Nate Bargatze, and Louie Katz and enjoyed each experience.
