After kicking off 2015 with an electrifying event held at the Ralston Arena, Victory Fighting

Championship (VFC) keeps its momentum going with another exciting night of fights. VFC Fight Night 2 at

Harrah’s Stir Cove is set for June 6th in Council Bluffs, Iowa and will feature plenty of familiar faces.

Headlining the event, former VFC Middleweight prospect and UFC veteran, Brian “B-Hue” Houston, takes on

Bellator veteran, Victor “Superman” Moreno. Also featured, in the co-main event of the evening, Bellator

veteran and TUF alum, Dakota Cochrane, squares off against submission specialist, Steele McCall.

After nearly two years fighting outside of the Midwest, Omaha/Council Bluffs fight fans are eager to see the

hard hitting Brian Houston (4-3) back in action. Houston’s last bout in Omaha took place at VFC 40, in July

2013, where he made quick work of Jett Jones. Following his VFC 40 performance, “B-Hue” got an invitation

to compete in the UFC, however, after falling short to Derek Brunson and dropping a close split decision to

Trevor Smith, Houston was released by the UFC. After going back to the drawing board and making

adjustments in fight camp, Houston is ready to return to VFC – this time as a Welterweight contender.

Victor Moreno (35-21) is a Bellator and MCC veteran who has been competing in professional mixed martial

arts for nearly 15 years and has had 55+ professional fights. In that experience, Moreno has competed against

some of the top prospects in the welterweight division, including the UFC’s Zak Cummings, TUF’s Steve Carl,

and UFC veterans Ryan Jensen and Anthony Smith. The Iowa native is currently riding a three fight win streak

and is looking to use his experience to shut down Houston’s game plan and add another win to his collection.

In our co-main event showdown, Premier Combat Center’s Dakota Cochrane (18-8) returns to VFC to make a

statement against Grudge Training Centers’ up-and-coming, Steele McCall (6-3). Throughout the years,

Cochrane has gained a breadth of experience fighting for promotions such as RFA, Bellator, and Titan FC;

along with a brief stint on The Ultimate Fighter. Cochrane has shown a diverse skillset and has developed a

reputation for being a hard hitter, with 4 of his last 5 wins coming by way of KO/TKO. Despite being less

experienced, his adversary, Steele McCall, has proven to be a formidable opponent. The Colorado native and

submission specialist holds six wins by way submission in the opening frames and holds notable wins over TUF

alum Chase Hackett and Colorado’s, Mitch Peterson.

This is just a taste of what to expect as Victory Fighting Championship continues to grow throughout the

Midwest as the region’s premier Mixed Martial Arts promotion. Join us Saturday, June 6th and experience the

thrill of “Fight Night” for yourself.
